Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Ice Cream (using the ninja creami)

This Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Ice cream is only 3 WW points, packs over 40 grams of protein, and takes only 4 ingredients. It will blow your mind! (Must have the Ninja Creami)
3 point protein ice cream

Okay, I’ll admit it, I was a HUGE skeptic of the Ninja Creami. After all, its an expensive machine, and I didn’t think I wanted yet nother appliance on my counter. I held off for so long, but finally one day after seeing people posting their delicious high protein low point ice creams, I bit the bullet, and WOW am I glad I did. This thing is a GAME CHANGER. I get asked a lot of if you can use anything else in place of it, and to my knowledge the answer is no. Sure there are other ice cream makers out there, but this one takes the cake for turning a handful of ingredients or a protein shake into creamy ice cream (and for the record I am NOT sponsored at all by Ninja, just truly love this thing!

They go in and out of stock, but at the time of making this post I saw that Walmart has the basic model in stock HERE and QVC has the deluxe model with extra pints HERE

That being said, I want to share with you one of the most simple, easy, high protein, low point recipes I’ve done..this chocolate peanut butter recipe. It is SO good, and only 3 points on WW and has over 40 grams of protein!! Such a dessert saver.

What You’ll Need to Make This Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream

The best part for me, is that I made this with only FOUR ingredients, all ones that I truly always have on hand that are pantry staples for me on my Weight Watchers journey.

  • 1 Premier Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake – 2 points – I grab them by the 4 pack at Walmart or you can always grab a case on Amazon!
  • 3 Tbsp Sugar Free PBFIT – 1 point – This is my favorite Peanut Butter powder! I get it on Amazon but you can use any pb powder of your choice
  • 1-2 Tbsp Monkfruit- or any sweetener of your choice. This is optional, but recommended. For some reason, when you freeze the shake it takes some of the sweetness away.
  • 4 Grams SF Chocolate pudding mix– This acts as a “binder” if you will and is pretty important so I wouldn’t skip if you could avoid! You can sub it for regular pudding mix just add a point.

How to make this Chocolate peanut butter ice cream

One of the draw backs to the Ninja Creami could be that you need to have a mixture prepared and frozen. So when you get this awesome gadget you can’t try it right away! They recommend freezing your mixture for 24 hours, but I have definitely done less and had success. It does need to be completely frozen though! I bought extra pints so this way I can have a few options always in the freezer ready to go! This def helps!

So for this recipe, you will take the ingredients above and mix them all together in the pint that comes with your Creami. You can use a hand frother or just close tight and shake well. Place it in your freezer and wait 24 hours.

Once it’s frozen, its time for ice cream!Take your pint out of your freezer, and microwave it for 30 seconds. This is optional but I do recommend it. (Don’t be alarmed when you take the pint out and it looks weird. The PB power could look like chunks, but the machine will blend everything smooth)

Install the pint into the container and snap it in place. Turn it on, and press lite ice cream. Just a PSA that this machine is LOUD. Like LOUDDDD. So be aware of that!

Once It’s done one spin on lite ice cream, take it off and open the pint. Scrape the sides down as much as you can to get of the iciness. I like to add a splash of oat milk fat free milk, a splash of a protein shake, or a little coffee creamer here to help make it super soft.

Place the lid back on and put the pint back into the machine. Snap it back into place and spin it one more time on lite ice cream. A lot of people use the respin option, which is fine, but I always have more success running on lite ice cream 2 times!

That’s it! Takes a few miunutes but SO worth it in the end. Its truly SO delicious and the options are beyond endless!!

This is my new favorite treat! The only problem is my husband stealing half of it. So glad I asked for the Ninja Creami for Christmas after seeing your post and video. It’s so worth it!!! I’d love any other combinations you’d recommend.
